Shazdeh Mahan Garden

Imagine the heaven, well let me tell you what is currently in your mind might be quite similar to Shazdeh Mahan Garden! Located in the middle of the Kerman deserts, this well-known Persian garden sparkles like a bright emerald.

The garden

At first as you walk through the entrance, a pleasant breeze touches your face and meantime the true instance of symmetry is ahead of you. Considering the declivity of the ground, at the first sight significantly the whole breath taking view of the garden is in front of you. Back to back fountains gracefully shine all the way to the other side of the garden.  At that side the elegant white two-floor summer residence emerges. It generously spread life throughout the garden.

You see the garden on both sides of the fountains. There are various types of plants in the garden such as fruit, wind break, shed trees and several kinds of beautiful flowers. Each of these trees flaunts in different seasons. The stone sidewalk seems to be a contiguous interval between the water and the plants.

The building

Eventually the building as well as the garden is indeed a precious example of Persian architecture considering the plot and significant art works with plaster, glass and tiles.

As you go up on the second floor of the building, you have the view of a mountain dominant to you with the desert in the landscape on one side. On the other side you see the whole garden. The mild weather, the freshening smell and the sweet sound of water, the wind and the birds and above all the peaceful view melts you and relieves your spirit.

Some parts of the building are turned into stores to buy traditional handicrafts and local products, a restaurant to serve delicious Persian meals and a couple of bedrooms for one-night stay.

As it seems there is no reason not to visit the UNESCO cultural heritage registered Persian garden! Welcome to the harmony of nature and mankind.
